Pardon Lock Meadows in Harlow is a 27-hectare site situated between the River Stort and the Stort Navigation, lying to the north of the town.
The site is ideally situated within easy reach of most of the population of Harlow and has the potential to be a key piece of public open space, with its distinct landscape and recreational interest to the local community.
The Land Trust has ownership of the site and is working alongside Harlow District Council to manage and enhance this community asset.
A viewing platform across the scenic landscape has been installed, and volunteers have given hundreds of hours of their time to help manage the habitats.
