The creation of a wildlife corridor between Weetslade Country Park and Gorsforth Park has been approved by North Tyneside Council.
It will be designed and created by Highbridge Properties as part of its plans for the Indigo Park office site and will run north to south through the site as part of the strategic wildlife corridor from Jesmond Dene into Northumberland.
The developer has also made a legal agreement with the council which aims to fund mitigation of the loss of habitat for farmland songbirds.
