The Land Trust seeks organisations who would like to tender to join its consultancy panel

Sustainable land management charity the Land Trust is currently seeking organisations to join its consultancy panel across a range of services.

The details of the services are listed below. The period for management responsibility in this instance is 3 years with the possibility of a 2-year extension.

Lot Number: 4.1

Technical Services: Planning

Advise on and prepare planning applications and supporting information, negotiating related documentation, comment on planning applications which effect our portfolio, advising on planning strategy. Local development Framework review, Representation through the LDF review process of sites within our portfolio for particular designations. Advice on the new planning bills to be introduced. Preparing outline masterplans. Preparing concept drawings and outline prices for possible projects.

Technical Services: Land agency

Advice on land values, negotiating claims for compensation, support on sales and purchases. Land use advice. Wayleave negotiation and support. Statutory grant funding management and research (Countryside Stewardship, BPS, ELMS etc). Market research – Land and property (particular residential and commercial), provision of information on sites coming to the market (recent instruction from clients), facilitate partnering with existing clients.

Technical Services: Valuation and rating

Advice on property values, provision of statutory and non-statutory valuations within Red Book guidelines, providing all rating advice and support on statutory processes including strategic advice on reducing rating liability

Technical Services: Project management

Provision of project management support advice, tools and techniques. Projects range from traditional design and build projects to charitable delivery projects with variable budgets.

Technical Services: Landscape design and costing

Development of designs and specifications for individual, and portfolios of sites. Creation of costed options and bills of quantities.
Preparation and amendment of plans. Project Management. Land Management. Other Land and Property Advice.

Lot Number: 4.6

Technical Services: Environmental science

Including but not limited to geoscience, soil science, hydrology, sustainability, climate change and acoustics. Work may include review of pre-existing reports, desk studies, risk assessments, site investigation and remediation. Advice on changes to legislation and company procedures.

Lot Number: 4.7

Technical Services: Engineering consultancy

Civil engineering advice, including inspections, design and scheme review. Providing advice on statutory notices and support in responding to them. Overall advice on new initiatives and statute. We are in particular seeking partners who can act as out clerk of works on new build housing estates and review the quality of new private roads, retaining walls and SUDS infrastructure.

Technical Services: Ecological services

Provision of a range of ecological surveys, assessments and reports.
Advice on options of how to improve the Trust’s ecological performance. Site & habitat design.

Technical Services: GIS Provision of general

GIS support services, including advice on appropriate GIS solutions, providing plans and maps as required.

Lot Number: 4.10

 BNG Provision of the following services in relation to BNG:

• UKhab and botanical surveying and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Condition Assessments – particularly specialist botanists (e.g. FISC level 5/6) in Priority and complex habitats such as open mosaic habitat and wetlands
• BNG baseline assessments for habitats, hedgerows and watercourses using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric and previous iterations
• BNG post-intervention modelling using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric and previous iterations
• GIS BNG modelling and provision of GIS data following the Natural England GIS Data Standard. Geopackages compatible with ArcGIS and official UKHab symbology
• Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan writing and consultation using the Natural England template
• Habitat creation and enhancement expertise in bespoke and conservation-oriented BNG projects
• BNG Clerk of works
• Monitoring and inspecting post-intervention BNG
• BNG and climate change adaptations
• Soil testing and reporting for BNG

Lot Number: 4.11

Technical Services: Open Space Stewardship

Assist with preparation of Stewardship Plans for large scale strategic residential developments of 1,000 + residential dwellings. Appraisal of masterplans and preparation of Outline Business Plans and Detailed Business Plans for the effective stewardship of large-scale residential developments with a mix of funding models including service charge, endowment funding, grant funding and commercial sources of funding. Advise on the following stewardship models: local authority adoption, private adoption, resident management companies, community interest companies and newly established trusts. Peer review of typical documents produced as part of residential planning applications related to green infrastructure and community assets.
