11th January 2024

National land management charity the Land Trust reflects on a successful 2022/23, seeing an estimated £34m in social value delivered in 2022/23 across its 80+ sites.

The Land Trust review outlines the year’s significant charitable delivery across all of its five key areas: health, education, community cohesion, the environment and biodiversity, and the economy.

Taking on a further six new sites, the Trust’s whole portfolio generated an estimated £17.6m (Gross Value Added), an increase of 50% on the year before.

With visitor numbers increasing to 2.1m across its green spaces, a 9% increase on last year, the Trust saw a 25% in-year increase in school visits, and almost doubled the number of overall health activities on site since before the pandemic. Providing invaluable, high quality green spaces for the communities’ benefit across the UK.
