Over 200 entries were submitted to this year’s photography competition and after a tough voting process the Land Trust staff have managed to shortlist the entries to the final 12; all of which will feature in the Trust’s 2020 calendar.
The theme of this year’s competition was Land Trust in Colour, which asked for photographs of the land Trust’s 70 sites, showcasing the changing colours of nature through the seasons.
The competition closed on October 25 and the public now has until Monday 2 December to choose their favourite photo from the final 12, which will be crowned this year’s overall winner.
Alan Carter, Director of Portfolio Management at the Land Trust, said: “The standard of the entries this year has been outstanding. It’s fantastic to see our sites through the lens of our visitors.
“We know that this competition has encouraged some people to get outdoors and spend time in our green spaces, which is really positive.
“I’m looking forward to seeing who the public chooses as their winner, and seeing all 12 fantastic photos in our 2020 calendar. Well done to everyone involved!”
All 12 finalist photos will be judged on the Land Trust’s Facebook. The photograph with the most likes and shares on 02 December will be the overall winner.
