Easter fun: family activities accross Land Trust sites

If you’re looking for some family friendly activities to get you out and about this Easter, the Land Trust can help.

National land management charity the Land Trust owns and manages dozens sites across the country, including Frickley Country Park, Port Sunlight River Park, Fryston Country Trails and the iconic Lady of the North at Northumberlandia.

On Wednesday 17 April the annual Easter Scavenger Hunt at Frickley Country Park will take place. This runs from 13:00-15:00 and costs just 50p per child. You will receive a map then find photo clues around the park to get your Easter treat.

Meanwhile, down at the historic Fort Burgoyne in Dover, the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership brings its Green Gang activities to Fort Burgoyne for the first time with a children’s Crafty Clay Creations event. This creative session starts at 10:00 and finishes at 12:00pm. This event must be booked by emailing bookings@wccp@gmail.com. White Cliffs Countryside Partnership asks for a small donation to take part.

On Thursday 18 April the fun begins at Fryston Country Trails with an afternoon of Easter crafts and egg hunting. Running from 13:00 – 15:00. This event is great fun for all the family and costs 50p per child.

Over the weekend there will be several Easter Trails running at Northumberlandia. Drop in any time between Friday 19 and Monday 22 April for this fantastic activity. The trail will cost £3 per child and allows families to explore the famous Lady of the North while searching for clues.

On Monday, make the most of the Bank Holiday at Port Sunlight River Park for their Easter Fun Day. Pop over at 12:00, 13:00 or 14:00 to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt. No need to book, just head over to the new Heritage Centre for the allotted times. This activity costs £1 and provides lovely views of Liverpool’s city skyline.
