The wonderful wildlife of Canvey Wick Nature Reserve was featured on national TV last night (Monday, 17th October) as part of BBC’s The One Show.
Managing partners Buglife and RSPB took presenter George McGavin for a special bug hunt, and they caught some amazing creatures, including the rare Shrill carder bee.
You can see the piece online here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07y99zn/the-one-show-17102016. Canvey Wick is featured at minute 24.
The nature reserve is an incredibly special place for invertebrates and has been described as a “little brownfield rainforest” thanks to the diversity of species that call it home. Find out more and come and visit soon!
