General Code of Conduct for Trainees

In joining the Green Angels Environmental Training project, I understand that I am agreeing to the following:

• I must attend all formal training and volunteering sessions for my course (unless previously agreed with staff member)
• If I am unable to attend for any reason, I must contact Rebecca Mooney on 07920139209 for Hassall Green Nature Reserve activities, Mary Breeze on 07392 260 215 for Warrington or Port Sunlight activities or Rachel Cobb on 07468 367904 for all other request PRIOR to the day of my absence to explain the reason.
• If I am absent from more than one of my formal training sessions without prior notice and agreement, I will not receive a certificate at the end of the Green Angels course.
• I agree to behave appropriately towards other trainees and staff on site and in accordance with the Land Trust protocol.
• I understand that smoking and vaping can cause discomfort and concern to others. Both activities are permitted outdoors. However, if I smoke or vape I will stand well apart from the group whilst smoking or vaping, and will ensure my smoke does not reach others in the group and will heed individual requests
• I agree that the Land Trust may share any of the comments, information and quotes that I give on project feedback forms

• I undertake to look after all tools and ensure that they are accounted for whilst working on site
• I will heed advice and guidance from Green Angels staff and trainers at all times
• I will behave courteously to staff and my fellow trainees, and will be considerate of others’ feelings and viewpoints in my behaviour and discussions
• I will consider my health and safety whilst undertaking activities associated with the Green Angels training, and am aware that my personal health and safety is my responsibility
• I shall inform a Green Angels member of staff of any accidents or near misses that occur during the Green Angels sessions

• I confirm that currently I do not have any symptoms of Covid 19 (Fever of +37.8; new persistent cough; aching joints; difficulty breathing; loss of taste and/or smell; nausea/diarrhoea)
• I confirm that no-one in my household has had Covid 19 symptoms in the last 14 days
• I shall inform Green Angels staff if I start to experience symptoms of Covid 19 during the course
