Warrington Bat Walk

Warrington

18th September 2017 : 7-8pm

A twilight walk to see if any bats have taken residence at Bewsey.

Earlier this year we installed some bat boxes to provide cosy homes for bats to sleep in. With the help of a bat expert we are going to walk the site to see if we have attracted any residents.

The bats come out to feed once the sun has set so we will be meeting at 7pm and the walk should last approximately 1 hour.

Please note that bats do not like rain, in the event that there is prolonged rain this event will be cancelled. Please call to check in the case of bad weather.

This event is free of charge however BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL as places are limited.

This is an outdoor event and the site may be muddy in places so wear appropriate clothing / footwear. Bring a torch.

We will be meeting in the car park at the Maltings Pub from 6.45pm. Postcode is WA5 9PB. Access to the car park is off Old Hall Road on Bewsey Farm Close.

Areas of the walk will be on footpaths, however, the ground is a little uneven in places and we will be leaving the paths to walk through the woods which may prove difficult for those with limited mobility.

There is on street parking and there should be places in the pub car park.
