Countess of Chester Country Park

Bring your picnic to the park!

A range of activities for adults and children including dance, circus skills, drumming, storytelling, re-enactment, a wildlife trail and a host of nature events.

In case of rain, make your way to the Arkell Scouting and Community Centre, Upton Grange, CH2 1BG (Ring Sue if in doubt)

There are some toilets and a Public access café in the hospital five minutes walk away.

The Picnic site off Countess Way

The park’s all-weather paths are wide enough to be shared by walkers, cyclists, wheelchair users and children’s buggies. The paths offer a choice of routes and distances and the opportunity to be more active, within a safe and pleasant environment. The paths also connect with other routes, which allow you to explore the local area
