Annual Open Weekend to showcase latest restoration to winding engines and ancillary equipment associated with the mining history of the site and surrounding coal field areas.
Also stalls and exhibits from local charities and groups with connections to mining and local heritage and the adjacent country park / nature reserve. Guided walks.
No booking required
Children and vulnerable persons to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Café on site serving hot and cold food, cakes, tea, coffee etc. Toilets with disabled facilities on site. Disabled Access restricted to some areas on site due to it being a scheduled ancient monument, assistance available on request where appropriate.
