8th August 2018 : 11am to 3pm
POND RUMMAGING
2 sessions: 11am to 12 noon and 2pm to 3pm in the Pond Dipping Pavilion
Due to low water levels and the delay in getting our new floating pontoon, we will be rummaging through trays of pond weed and plants to find lots of weird and wonderful pond creatures, from dragonfly nymphs to leeches to water stick insects. Be warned: may get messy!
Pick up your colour ticket on the day for a timed session (approx. 20 mins each)
BUG HUNTING
2 sessions: 12 noon to 12.45pm and 3pm to 3.45pm – meet in the walk-in meadow in the middle of the park.
Discover the minibeasts that live under logs and in the long grass meadows – this may include newts, beetles, worms and grasshoppers but what we find will change with the weather.
Both suitable for all ages and no booking necessary.
Free
