Join Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park’s Easter family sessions and learn about wildlife and nature through interactive activities.
10th & 17th of April – Creepy Crawly Thursdays
On Thursdays, come and meet the minibeasts as they awaken from their winter sleep! Drop into our morning session (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM) or afternoon session (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM) to learn how to find and care for them while discovering fascinating facts about their roles in the natural world.
Want a closer look? Stick around for our microscopy part of the session, where you can see incredible details of their tiny bodies up close.
A quiz and children’s trails will be available in the park throughout the day.

Suitable for ages 5 and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The sessions will take place both indoor and outdoor. Come prepared for the weather. Quiz and children trails are set up outdoor – please come prepared for the weather.
The site has a visitor centre and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides and pond dipping platform. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.
We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square , John Harrison Way or Millennium Way stops. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Please note that the outer boardwalk is currently closed for repair. You can get to the gatehouse and park via the Thames Path, off John Harrison Way.
