Join us for a FREE fun filled summer day out with brilliant bird crafts, wildlife gardening, fancy flight workshop and bird walks with JD Swann!
Activities include fascinating walks led by the ornithological investigator JD Swann, hand-on gardening workshops and bird themed craft activities and quiz trails. The Friends group will be running barbeque, refreshment and secondhand book stalls as well as selling our exclusive Peninsula Birdwatching Logbook (sponsored by Knight Dragon)
The event is free but donations are very welcome. No booking is required and activities are suitable for all ages from child to adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult. |

Please dress for the weather as some activities will be outdoors and will go ahead rain or shine.
The site has a visitor centre and toilets including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Disabled parking space at the end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangement needed.
We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square , John Harrison Way or Millennium Way stops. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Please note that the outer boardwalk is currently closed for repair. You can get to the gatehouse and park via the Thames Path next to the river, off John Harrison Way.
