Craft & Bat Walk

Avenue Washlands Nature Reserve

27th October 2021 : 15:30-18.30

Join us for an afternoon of craft and a bat walk. We will be making bat themed natural bird feeders which will be followed by a bat walk.

This walk is aimed at families and begins at the Avenue car park, down to the red lead mill bridge on the Washlands.

The walk is approximately 2km. The walk will be at a steady pace with regular stops to take in the sights and sounds of the park but may be muddy in places so walking boots or wellies are recommended.

Free

Be sure to bring torches as the bat walk will be conducted from sunset.

A gazebo will provide shelter through the crafts session. There are currently no refreshment or toilet facilities on site.

The Avenue Country Park main car park.

There are steps, however there is also a slope as an alternative route.

Parking is available at The Avenue Country Park car park, just off Hornbeam Drive in Chesterfield. Postcode; S42 6FY
