A planting day to engage with the local community in the park.
A community planting day working along the edges of the fields at the Countess of Chester Country Park to raise the biodiversity of the park and start the planting of a woodland corridor through the centre of the park in a low diversity scrub area, the event is free to attend and all ages are welcome.
Sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing.
Coffee and tea will be available on the day. Toilets are based in the ranger cabin on site, a short walk from the event and baby changing facilities are also available if needed.
Meeting across the field from the cross roads on the park or along the footpath that leads from the park to Parkgate Road.
Formal tarmac footpaths run throughout the park but actual access to the planting areas is a little harder to reach for people with mobility difficulties.
There is a small car park at the main entrance to the park but spaces are limited. Alternative parking is to be found at the Mollington Banistre Hotel on Parkgagte Road in the overspill area only.
