Bird Walk at Braeburn Park

Braeburn Park

18th April 2020 : 9.30 - 11.30am

Join Bexley RSPB and LWT at Braeburn Park to learn more about local birds and how to identify them.

From 09:30-11:30 there will be a bird walk led in partnership with Bexley RSPB giving you a chance to learn more about local birds and how to identify them. Braeburn is host to a variety of bird species including green woodpecker, blackcap, lesser whitethroat, greenfinch and nuthatch. The walk is suitable for anyone – no prior knowledge is necessary and families with children are very welcome. We will be meeting at 09:30am at the playground near Falstaff Close DA1 3RR, stout footwear and suitable clothing are recommended! The walk will be free with no booking required but any donations to Bexley RSPB and London Wildlife Trust will be gratefully received.

In the afternoon I will also be running a “taster” volunteer work session for anyone that wants to get into nature conservation! Note: it is not necessary to attend both parts so feel free to come to just the morning session or the afternoon session.

Please bring suitable clothing and stout footwear as well as lunch and something to drink.

Please note, there are no facilities on site.

Meet at the playground near the Falstaff Close entrance, approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Crayford rail station.
