Free Wild Play Fun at the Old Brickworks, Hednesford. This holiday, why not bring the kids along to the Old Brickworks, Keys Park Road, Hednesford on for some play on the wild side of things.
The site is owned by the Land Trust and managed by Cannock Chase Council’s Countryside Service is bringing in Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s Wildplay team for the day.
Cannock Chase Council’s Countryside Service manages all of its sites for the benefit of wildlife and people. One of our aims is to encourage people to get out and enjoy the wildlife and green spaces on their doorstep while gaining an awareness and understanding of the sensitive nature of some of these wild habitats and species, events like Wildplay days contribute towards achieving these aims. We also run weekly conservation volunteer days for those wishing to take a more active part in helping to look after the countryside. Staff from the Countryside Service will be on site during the day to discuss and answer queries regarding the management of this site or any others managed by the Countryside service.
Wildplay day activities will include bug hunting, pond dipping, shelter building, trails, creative natural crafts and is aimed at children aged 5-14 years old.
This will be the fifth year that we have put on these popular events, the aim is to encourage creative play and fun and encourage children to explore and think more about the nature on their doorstep with an emphasis on fun.
