Beaulieu Estate Management, a subsidiary company of the Land Trust, set up to manage and maintain the impressive 176 acres of parks and open spaces that will be provided at Beaulieu in Chelmsford, invited new residents to a fabulous Easter event on Tuesday April 11th.
Residents took part in an Easter Eggstravaganza and bird box building workshop where children could try their hand at building homes for their local feathered friends that live on Beaulieu. The sun was shining on Beaulieu and the local children had a wonderful time meeting new friends and running around the park enjoying themselves.
Around 100 residents attended the event and had a tremendous time building a box which could be taken home to erect in their garden, with some placed in trees that pepper the estate at Beaulieu. The egg hunt was a great success and everyone that took part went home happy with some chocolate to share with their family.
Charles Langtree from the Land Trust commented: “I love events that bring people and nature together to learn skills and raise awareness of the importance of conservation. Building bird boxes is a great challenge for children and helps them appreciate that it is not just humans living on this wonderful development.”
This event is just one of a series of events that will take place over the coming months across the green spaces at Beaulieu, with the aim of making local residents passionate about their environment and to help create a biodiverse landscape that can be enjoyed by generations to come. With plans to build new homes on the site over the coming years, it is essential that the open spaces and parkland areas can nurture the creatures that live there and encourage more to move in and make Beaulieu a place they can also call home!
More than 150 homes are now occupied at Beaulieu with more phases due to be released shortly. The new homes are arranged within individually designed neighbourhoods. Each area has its own distinct architectural style – so whether you’re looking for a traditional style property or more contemporary home, there are styles to suit all modern lifestyles.
