May half term fun at the Land Trust’s sites

Pond dipping, bug hunting, health walks and fun-packed wildlife tours – get up and close with nature this half term and head over to one of the Land Trust’s inviting parks.

National land management charity the Land Trust owns, manages and maintains sites across the country – including the iconic ‘Lady of the North’ at Northumberlandia, Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park in London, Wirral’s Port Sunlight River Park and Hassall Green Nature Reserve in Staffordshire, while it manages Liverpool Festival Gardens on behalf of Liverpool City Council.

These sites, along with a host of others, will be the setting for a range of activities to keep families entertained during the February half term.

Among the activity highlights London Tree Week at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, running between Tuesday and Friday this week. The same site will also host bug hunting and pond dipping on Wednesday (1 June).

Meanwhile, Wild Tots for Under 5s will take place at Northumberlandia on Wednesday (1 June), while Hassall Green opens its doors for a special nature reserve open day this Saturday (4 June). On Monday (6 June) Liverpool Festival Gardens will stage a free health walk, with Port Sunlight River Park providing the same leg stretching opportunity the following day (7 June).
