Have you ever wondered what it sounds like in the underwater world of a pond? Join conservation charity Froglife, sound artist Tom Fisher and the Greenwich Peninsula team for an interactive session of live streaming of the pond soundscapes.
| This secret world of sound will be revealed and you’ll hear weird and wonderful noises, like plants photosynthesising and maybe even some frog tadpoles!
This event is a collaboration between Froglife and TCV as part of the London Blue Chain project. The project is being developed to enable Froglife and communities to create ponds and wildlife habitats along the Green Chain walking route. Come along to this event to find out about the range of activities, resources and events we’ll be working on and how you can become involved! 2 sessions at 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. This event is for children aged 7 and above. This activity will take place in our outdoor classroom. No pre-booking required. All children must be accompanied by an adult. |

The site has a visitor centre and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides and outdoor classroom. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.
We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square or John Harrison Way stop. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Please note that the outer boardwalk is currently closed for repair. You can get to the gatehouse and park via the Thames Path, off John Harrison Way, or follow the frogs from the bus stop.
