The Land Trust has launched a survey to understand the role green spaces have played in helping people through the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Trust has worked hard to keep its sites open over the last 12 months to help the communities that live and work around their sites.
Director of Portfolio Management, Alan Carter, explained:
“We know that our parks and green spaces have played a huge role over the last 12 months in a huge variety of ways. Being able to get outdoors has been very important for helping people’s physical and mental wellbeing during what has been a very difficult time for everyone.
“For everyone at the Land Trust it has been incredibly heartening to hear some of the stories from our park users about the positive impact being able to use our green spaces has had on them.
“Going forward we know that people have a new found appreciation and respect for parks and green spaces, and we want to gain a better understanding of how people have used them over the last 12 months so that we can continue to develop how we work with our communities, deliver charitable outcomes and create economic and social value.”
