Runners put their best feet forward at Kiveton

8th November 2016

Kiveton Community Woodland hosted the second race of the South Yorkshire County Athletics Association Cross Country League at the end of October, with nearly 500 athletes taking part.

Cheered on by hundreds of spectators, the runners took on courses of up to 10km, braving the chill in the air and the tussocky grass underfoot.

With support from site rangers Hannah and James, The Conservation Volunteers, the Land Trust and the athletics association and supporting running clubs, everyone hailed the event a huge success and hope to return for another cross country fixture next season.
