The Land Trust’s service charge subsidiary, Land Trust Residential Services Ltd, won the Best Newcomer category at the RESI Awards held on Wednesday 10th May in London.
Land Trust Residential Services owns and manages green spaces within and around housing developments through residential service charge agreements, ensuring everything from natural corridors and sustainable drainage solutions, to play areas and natural community amenities are effectively and sustainably maintained and enhanced, helping protect the value of the homes and create places people want to live work and play.
Euan Hall, CEO of the Land Trust, said: “We’re delighted that Land Trust Residential Services has been recognised after just over a year of operation. It’s great to see the property industry recognising the value that well managed green space can have to communities and their developments.
“New developments need to be about more than the roads and the homes; great places to live should also include valuable green space. However, developers need to be able to identify an exit strategy that ensures that green spaces continue to add value. It’s more than just cutting the grass and picking up litter, the Land Trust Residential Services model also creates opportunities for community engagement in the spaces too. Through our work we help improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we work with.
“Whilst this award recognises our achievement to date, we are keen to work with other developers and landowners to help identify ways that we can all benefit from green space solutions and great healthy communities.”
The RESI Awards, held by Property Week magazine, aim to identify the best firms or individuals who had a transformative 2016 in the residential sector.
I enjoy working at The Land Trust because of the trust that they put in me to be actively involved in projects, and I feel influential in decision making. As a Graduate this provided me with great professional experience across a broad range of disciplines, that'll ultimately be very beneficial for my future career.
