After receiving over 200 entries the winner of the Land Trust’s annual photography competition has been chosen. A stunning photograph taken at New Park Springs, Grimethorpe, by Steve Milner was voted as the winner by Facebook users.

Green Angels Chester

Boost for Green Angels training after £10k of funding from the National Lottery

The popular Countess of Chester Country Park has been given a huge boost after being awarded £10,000 in National Lottery funding to support the Land Trust’s Green Angels programme on the park. The Trust, who owns and manages the park, will use the cash to run free environmental training courses and run community events in partnership with the park’s Friends group.

Nestled beside Dover Castle, the White Cliffs of Dover and overlooking Britain’s busiest ferry port, scheduled ancient monument Fort Burgoyne was acquired by the Land Trust in 2014, with the vision of making the site a key part of the community.
