Willow weaving, wildlife watch, bird box making, child cycle classes and a luminous lantern festival – just some of the events taking place across the Land Trust’s parks and green spaces this half term.
The Land Trust owns, manages and maintains sites across the country – including the iconic ‘Lady of the North’ at Northumberlandia and Wirral’s Port Sunlight River Park, while it manages Liverpool Festival Gardens on behalf of Liverpool City Council.
These sites, along with a host of others, will be the setting for a range of activities to keep families entertained during the February half term.
‘Wicked Willow’ takes place at Northumberlandia on Tuesday 16 February. Come along to to learn about this amazing plant and how to use it to create crowns, butterflies, fairy wings or a living willow sculpture. On Thursday 18 February Northumberlandia is hosting ‘Wildlife Watch – All About Birds’ event, followed up with ‘Wildlife Watch Tracks and Signs’ on Saturday 20 February.
On Tuesday 16 February bird box making for your garden is being held at Port Sunlight River Park. The same venue will host a ‘Help your child learn to cycle’ on Saturday 20 February.
Then, from Thursday 18 February to Saturday 20 February the Luminous Landscapes Festival of Light takes place at Liverpool Festival Gardens. The exciting event is being delivered by Liverpool Lantern Company in partnership with Liverpool City Council.
