Wild Winter Fayre

Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

Join a wonderfully wild winter celebration at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park with natural wreath making, quiz trails and winter warmer refreshments!

Weave a winter wreath using willow cut from the park, then add a range of decorative natural materials and gathered greenery. There will also be mini card wreathes with a range of natural and recycled items for younger children.

Have a go at winter wildlife quiz trails and enjoy winter warmer refreshments and a barbecue. Plus small toys and secondhand books for sale and our event space will be decorated as a magical indoor woodland!

Free entry and activities. Suitable for all ages and no need to book.

All under 10 year olds must be accompanied by an adult

Dress for the weather! Wreath making will be outdoors but decorating will be in our indoor classroom.

The site has a visitor centre, event space and toilets, including disabled access toilet and baby changing facilities. Food will be available to buy at our barbecue and refreshment stall.

Ecology Park gatehouse.

The park is a dementia friendly site and has good level access across the site, with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides. Activities are also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.

We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square or John Harrison Way stop. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces are very limited.
