Wild Day Out

Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

18th June 2017 : 12 noon - 4pm

Get really close to reptiles, amphibians and creepy crawlies at the Ecology Park's FREE summer open day!

Activities include pond dipping, the Wiggly Wild Show, Meet the Minibeasts session, wildlife gardening, willow crown making, meet the spiders session plus barbeque, refreshments and stalls.

Suitable for all ages but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.

No need to book – just turn up!

Easy access with wide wooden boardwalks throughout the site.

Dress for the weather! We will go ahead whatever the weather. Some of the activities are indoors or under cover.

The site has a visitor centre and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.

Just turn up at the park

Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at the end of John Harrison Way. Ring 0208 293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.

Good public transport access: North Greenwich tube, buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millenium Village Oval Square stop. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the 02 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Paid parking nearer the 02.
