The programme is free to attend, however registration and guardian consent is required.
The Junior Ranger programme (hereon known as the ‘programme’) is aimed at young people with an interest in the outdoors, the environment and / or conservation. The programme is offered to young people between the ages of 11 and 18 to gain the skills and experience needed to become a volunteer ranger at the age of 18. The programme is progressive and ideally we would like the Junior Rangers to maintain involvement in the programme for a number of years. As Junior Rangers progress through the programme they have the opportunity to take on more responsibility along with the option of working towards becoming an adult volunteer. Junior ranger sessions are run by a mixture of staff and volunteers. All staff will be trained and qualified in the activities that they are offering, where necessary. We will keep consent medical and data information for the junior rangers for their time in the programme. This information will be kept securely and only accessible to those that need it. The information will be used only to help us deliver and manage the Junior Ranger Programme and to make adequate provision for the safety of the group. It will not be shared with third parties unless in the situation of a medical emergency. |
