Self-led Bat Trail

Go batty for our fun, self-led trail at Northumberlandia this half-term. Download our trail guide to help your wildlife explorers find our hidden bats in the woodland, learning all about these amazing creatures as you go.

Families welcome, children aged 5-9 years and over.

Dogs on a lead are permitted to the activity.

People can ask at the cafe on the day if places remain if they haven’t booked on.

Please wear warm, waterproof clothing, hats, gloves and suitable footwear for the outdoors. This trail is within the woods, an exposed location.

There is a warm café and toilets on site. Picnic tables are also available if you would like to bring along a snack.

Trails start just near the interpretation board, (near cafe) just up from car park.

The main tracks through the wood are a little uneven and surfaced with wood chip, but are still accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Park in the carpark at Northumberlandia.
