Meet Froglife, the amphibian experts, and learn how to create a mini wildlife pond using containers and water plants with 2 sessions at 10am and 1pm. Note that places must be booked in advance via the TCV website – www.tcv.org.uk/greenwichpeninsula

Meet some of the creatures who inhabit ponds with lots of time for your garden pond and amphibian questions and some free booklets too! The 2 mini ponds created will be donated to a local school or community group.

The site has a small visitor centre, outdoor classroom and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities. There is no café on site but there is a village square with café and small shops nearby. All buildings will be well ventilated at all times

Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides. Activities and pond dip platform also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed

Good public transport access: North Greenwich tube, buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square stop. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited.
