REALLY RUBBISH GARDENING WORKSHOP

Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

29th July 2021 : 2 x 1 hour sessions at 10am and 12pm

Create plant pots from pot noodle tubs, tetrapak cartons, milk cartons and more with 2 x 1 hour sessions at 10am and 12pm. Note that places must be booked in advance via the TCV website – www.tcv.org.uk/greenwichpeninsula.

As well as creating recycled pots, we will be finding out how to get plants for free using herbs, carrot tops, collected seeds and more. This activity is suitable for children aged 5 to 8 years.

All children will need to be accompanied by an adult. A maximum of 3 children per adult. Booking is essential.

The site has a small visitor centre, outdoor classroom and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities. There is no café on site but there is a village square with café and small shops nearby. All buildings will be well ventilated at all times

Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides. Activities and pond dip platform also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed

Good public transport access: North Greenwich tube, buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square stop. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited.
