Celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day with an early morning birdwatching walk around this urban oasis
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Ecology park before the city wakes up. Listen to birdsong on our guided birdwatching tour with local experts and enjoy tea and toast in the gatehouse afterwards. Suitable for adults and older, accompanied children. No booking necessary unless you are a group of 8 or more.

The site has a visitor centre and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities. Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides and pond dipping platform. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.
Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square , John Harrison Way or Millennium Way stops. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Please note that the outer boardwalk is currently closed for repair. You can get to the gatehouse and park via the Thames Path, off John Harrison Way, or follow the frogs from the bus stop.
