The Land Trust wins Green Business Award at the Cheshire Business Awards 2016

The Land Trust has won the Green Business Award at the Cheshire Business Awards 2016.

Presented at a ceremony at Chester Cathedral on Friday 7th October, the award celebrates excellence in green practice and recognises an organisation that makes a positive contribution to the environment.

Representing the Land Trust on the evening were: Alan Carter, Director of Portfolio Management; Sarah Palgrave-Neath, Estates Manager North; and Ian Betteley, Group Finance Change Manager.

Alan said: “We’re delighted to be recognised our commitment to open spaces in the county and across England. We work hard to find funding solutions to sustainably manage and improve local green spaces for the long-term, giving communities opportunities to connect with nature and learn about the benefits of looking after the environment.

“Our spaces also have a crucial part in the social landscape, delivering health benefits through initiatives such as the Health for Life programme, reducing anti-social behaviour and building community cohesion by being publicly accessible environments.”
