The commitment and passion displayed by green-fingered trainees inspired to make a positive difference at Liverpool's Festival Gardens will be honoured at a special celebration ceremony.
This year 27 local people have taken part in the Big Lottery-funded Green Angels course – a free programme, provided by the Land Trust, which aims to improve the quality of life for local communities by providing new environmental training opportunities.
Participants, who come from a range of backgrounds across Liverpool, have benefited from undertaking courses that include: Countryside Management and Parks Maintenance, Business Skills, Environmental Education and Horticulture.
On Thursday 1 October, at Toxteth Town Hall, the culmination of all their hard work at Festival Gardens will be rewarded with a celebration ceremony, providing the participants with certificates marking the completion of the Green Angels courses and training.
