working together effectively when face-to-face contact was so limited. The Trust
invested in Microsoft Teams and regular meetings were held between colleagues
and departments.
The Trust also quickly recognised that the pandemic could put a strain on the mental
wellbeing of our staff. Six members of the team were trained as Mental Health First
Aiders and a new Health and Wellbeing newsletter was created which was sent out to
all staff and included various resources and activities which were designed to benefit
their physical and mental wellbeing.
A number of virtual activities were also organised, including art classes, yoga and Pilates.
The office is now open with staff being given the option to work in a much more flexible
way which we recognise is good for their physical and mental wellbeing.
