In our 2024/2025 Annual Review, the Land Trust reflects on a year marked by progress and forward-thinking vision. Not only do we celebrate the achievements of the past year, but in the year the Land Trust turned 20 years old, we also looked ahead with our Tomorrow’s World report, asking: What does the future hold for community, health, the environment, and the Land Trust itself? In 2024/25, our organisation delivered an estimated £76.9 million in social value across our portfolio, representing a substantial 98% increase compared to 2023/24. With stewardship of over 2,500 hectares of land, our sites continue to generate significant benefits for the communities we serve, all supported by a robust investment portfolio of £196.2 million.

Throughout 2024/25, we placed a stronger emphasis on driving charitable delivery, especially for those living on and around our service charge funded sites. These locations have become central to our broader charitable mission, serving as vibrant hubs for health and community engagement. Notably, we observed a significant rise in organised health activities, with our Green Angels courses expanding to more service charge funded sites. This growth was complemented by an increase in one-off community events, further underscoring our commitment to making these spaces accessible and beneficial for all. The ongoing work to position our sites as health and community centers is a testament to the dedication of our teams and partners.

As we look to the future, the Land Trust remains committed to fostering steady growth and maximising the positive impact of our green spaces. The consistent progress across key areas demonstrates the vital role our sites play in enhancing wellbeing, supporting local communities, and protecting the environment. We are excited to continue this journey, working collaboratively to ensure that our spaces not only reflect the successes of today but also inspire the possibilities of tomorrow. The Annual Review and Tomorrow’s World report invite everyone to join us in shaping a future where community, health, and the environment thrive together.
