Green Angels is an exciting training opportunity with an environmental focus, giving you the chance to learn new skills, change your future prospects and make a difference in your community.
Our FREE courses cover subjects such as wildlife conservation, landscaping, environmental education, horticulture and more. Training programmes usually last around four to six weeks, with regular sessions that combine learning with hands-on experience.
Green Angels courses for local residents to Davy Down began with an online Wellbeing with Nature course in Spring 2021, and since then we have run training on site in Environmental Education, Scything, Hedgelaying and Woodland Management. We have just completed a day’s training in coppicing and small tree felling and are planning courses in scything later in 2024, with some hedgelaying in the winter. Dates to be confirmed soon – please get in touch if you are interested – contact details below.
In order to confirm you place on a course, you will also need to have completed both our application and welfare forms. Please note that to ensure all needs are catered for, all applicants will also be required to complete and submit a welfare form before being accepted onto a course.
We will contact you to discuss specific details of activities during the application process, and this informal chat also provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any needs and aspirations prior to starting with Green Angels.
You can complete both our application and welfare forms as follows:
Courses will run at Davy Down Riverside Park, RM16 5UL – please see the site web page for further details about the park.
