Volunteer of the Year
Mike Little is a fantastic example of a volunteer
who makes a huge impact and his tireless
commitment saw him recognised as our
Volunteer of the Year.
Mike, who has given up 1,500 hours of his time
over the last 12 months, opens up and litter
picks Knowle Haven and Mayles Lane every day
and has completed much of the development of
the Haven by himself, learning new skills
and undertaking training to benefit the site and
his own personal development.
Mike, who suffers from a degenerative bone
disease, credits a significant improvement
in his physical and mental well-being to his
volunteering work.
