In the Land Trust’s current management Within these sites and in our wider portfolio Undertake a national

conservation designations including: biodiversity baseline
345ha of conservation grassland of our sites
Four SSSIs (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) Over 10km of hedgerows, 123ha of woodland
One proposed SSSI and almost 10km of rivers and streams
One Geological SSSI Approximately 37ha of specialist habitat, Prioritise targeted
10 Local Wildlife Sites including lowland heathland and reedbeds habitat and species
One Site of Borough Importance – Grade 1
One Metropolitan Greenspace Sites like Canvey Wick and Carr Lodge are management work
One ‘EA Sensitive Area’ regionally significant hotspots for invertebrates,
Two SAMs (Scheduled Ancient Monuments) with 1,600 and almost 400 species respectively.
