Green Flag status
Achieving The Land Trust is keen to be at the forefront of quality green space stewardship,
the gold and as part of this celebrated once again in 2022/23 as eight of its sites were
accredited with the prestigious Green Flag award - the international quality
standard mark for parks and green spaces.
Silverdale in the West Midlands, Elba Park in Sunderland, Beam Parklands in
Barking, Greenwich Penninsula Ecology Park in London, Beaulieu in Essex,
Wellesley Woodlands in Aldershot and the Countess of Chester Country Park in
Cheshire all retained their Green Flag status, while Hogmoor Inclosure in
Hampshire gained its first accreditation.
The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and
green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for their management across the
United Kingdom and around the world.
