History

The Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England) transferred ownership of land at Osprey Quay to the Osprey Quay Management Services Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Land Trust in 2014.

During the Olympics, Osprey Quay was host to the main sailing events and athlete village and a focus for thousands of people who gathered along the Weymouth and Portland coastline to watch the sailing events, which included sailor Ben Ainslie winning his fourth Olympic gold.

Development

The Trust is responsible for ensuring that Osprey Quay’s flood defences are maintained and repaired to protect local business and leisure users and for providing high quality estate management services for the site’s associated open greenspace.

The Trust has appointed locally-based Wessex Ground Services to undertake the day-to-day management at the site and this partnership ensures that Osprey Quay is managed in a way that supports existing businesses, attracts new companies and engenders a successful and attractive new residential development.

A 24 hour emergency number is available for tenants and the public to report any problems: 0300 365 9506.
