Green space management charity, the Land Trust is celebrating after receiving a total of eight Green Flag Awards across its portfolio. Sites include Silverdale in the West Midlands, Elba Park in Sunderland, Beam Parklands in Barking, Greenwich Penninsula Ecology Park in London, Beaulieu in Essex, Hogmoor Inclosure in Hampshire, Wellesley Woodlands in Aldershot and the Countess of Chester Country Park in Cheshire.

Scheduled Ancient Monument Pleasley Pit, managed by green space management charity the Land Trust, has secured a £402,000 grant from Biffa Award; a multi-million pound fund that helps to build communities and transform lives through awarding grants to communities and environmental projects across England and Northern Ireland as part of the Government's Landfill Communities Fund.
