The Land Trust’s, director of Portfolio Management, Alan Carter, said:

“The Land Trust Awards give us the opportunity to celebrate the amazing work that our managing partners do to achieve our charitable aims across our sites. Every park, nature reserve or piece of open space has a positive impact on the wildlife, environment and people who live nearby, and it’s really inspiring to get together and celebrate some of their stories and successes.

“It also gives us the chance to recognise the tireless work of all the volunteers who get involved with their local sites. They think nothing of giving up hours of their time and play an absolutely essential part in the success of the Land Trust and we do all we can to ensure that their efforts benefit them in return, whether through the mental and physical wellbeing gains, the skills they learn or the friends they make.”
