Festive fun for all the family – The Land Trust’s parks and green spaces become winter wonderlands

30th November 2016

Our parks and green spaces are all set to become winter wonderlands, with festive fun on offer for all the family over the next few weeks.

The Land Trust, a national charity that owns and manages land for public benefit, has sites across England, and many are making the most of the season to encourage people to get active, do something crafty, or simply take the time to enjoy the great outdoors.

Alan Carter, Director of Portfolio Management at the Land Trust, said: “As we prepare for Christmas it’s a great opportunity to come together with our friends and family and get in the festive spirit. Across the country, our sites are hosting all sorts of events and activities, from a Santa Dash for those who like to be active, to carol services and craft sessions for people who prefer something a bit more leisurely.

“Of course, getting out to enjoy the crisp air, say hello to the winter wildlife and work off those mince pies is an option at all our parks and open spaces, so why not give the telly a miss and head outdoors this winter – just be sure to wrap up warm!”
