More than a dozen new trees have been planted at Beam Parklands, near Dagenham
More than a dozen new trees have been planted at Beam Parklands, near Dagenham, thanks to five enthusiastic volunteers who responded to a call to take part in the project ‘I Dig Trees’.
The trees were provided free by The Conservation Volunteers.
Community ranger Sonya Kavanagh said: “The volunteers were all new to tree planting so it’s great they all learnt a new skill. They all enjoyed being out in the fresh air and found the experience so rewarding, they’re keen to take part in our volunteer day again next year.”
The Beam Parklands, is just one of 50 sites across the UK owned and managed by the Land Trust charity.
