For many people, it feels like life has been turned on its head and the future is uncertain and worrying.
The prospect of staying indoors and isolating is daunting and unwelcome, but it’s important that everyone looks after themselves and each other in this strange time we’re going through.
However, the world outside our four walls is still there, and spring is still gracing us with beautiful blossom and fabulous flowers.
Nature is still here for us. We need to make sure we’re using it.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it a thousand more times if we need to: spending time outdoors has a really positive effect on our physical and mental health.
The majority of our green spaces remain open at this time and we encourage anyone who needs a break from their home to take some time to visit if safe to do so.
It’s so important to ensure you’re looking after your physical and mental health at the moment. A quick stroll in the park each day could make a big difference to how you feel.
We’ve put together some tips for getting outdoors if you’re trying to keep your distance:

We’ll be here to provide ideas for activities, information about the changing seasons, and hopefully some light relief from the challenging times we’re facing.
Volunteering - great for team work – especially with people you might not interact with in your usual role. Great exercise – felt like a good activity outside in the sunshine!
