Be the Bee! We will be turning a park warden into a bumblebee with a variety of clothes and accessories so she has all the correct body parts! Then we will take our giant bumble around the park collecting giant pollen grains for her pollen basket
12.30 to 1.30pm
Join us on a guided bug hunt around the park with a bit of sweep netting, tree beating and looking under logs to see which minibeasts we can find
2 to 3pm
Book-bees! Make a folded paper corner bookmark in the shape of a stripy bumblebee

Dress for the weather. Event takes place outdoors and in the classroom.
The site has a visitor centre and toilets, including accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.

Good level access across the site with wide wooden boardwalks and accessible bird hides and pond dipping platform. Activities also accessible. Disabled toilet and baby changing facility. Wheelchair available to borrow. Disabled parking space at end of John Harrison Way. Ring 020 8293 1904 for any special parking arrangements needed.
We strongly advise you use public transport. We have great public transport access: North Greenwich tube, plus buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472, 486 to Millennium Village Oval Square , John Harrison Way or Millennium Way stops. By bicycle or on foot: along the Thames Path between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, with places to lock bikes. Free parking for 2 hours on John Harrison Way, Pear Tree Way and West Parkside but spaces very limited. Please note that the outer boardwalk is currently closed for repair. You can get to the gatehouse and park via the Thames Path, off John Harrison Way.
