A Ranger led, Saturday walk, around the Fryston Country Trails, a beautiful area running alongside the River Aire. If time and conditions permit we may cross the Aire to Fairburn Ings.
As part of ‘Wakefield Walking Week’ join the Groundwork Rangers for a gentle walk of approx. 5 miles around Fryston Country Trails exploring the habitats and wildlife.
Open to all ages but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will follow paths and tracks but please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to suit the weather. The walk is not fully accessible as we will cross styles, steps and the paths may be muddy and slippy.
Please bring a drink and snack. Boots or strong shoes and weather appropriate clothing

The walk is not fully accessible. There are steep and muddy paths, steps and styles.
