An introduction tour and guided walk. Fort Burgoyne lies hidden to the north of Dover Castle. Built in the 1860s to defend the town from attack from the north it is now designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Whilst we cannot always visit all areas of the fort you will still see and hear about much of the site's history.

Stout footwear is mandatory.
The site has portaloo facilities.

The historic nature and condition of the site severely limits access for individuals with limited mobility. Not suitable for wheelchairs beyond the parade ground and potentially ground floor areas.
